We achieve this goal by heightening
the awareness of the impact of hearing loss on communication
in the community and by training local health and education personnel
to identify and manage hearing problems. We stress the importance
of local workers doing the work they were trained to do.
Our volunteers include Audiologists,
Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists, Hearing Instrument Practitioners,
Teachers of the Deaf and Speech-Language Pathologists.
Also working behind the scenes are many
dedicated people, all striving to make CIHS work effectively.
